I offer document review for grammar and clarity, as well as document formatting to the Chicago Manual of Style.

Many of my projects have been self-translated documents by Italian authors, to which I bring particular strengths. Where a particular passage is not clear I can generally intuit what the author means by reading the English translation as if through an Italian lens, looking for syntax, word choice, and phrasing, then restructuring the passage to more clearly say what the author intended. To illustrate the importance of good editing review, in some instances I have essentially reversed the original meaning expressed in English to more accurately reflect the complexity of the underlying Italian thought.

For example, one of my projects was a series of essays by an Italian philosopher of economics that was published by Palgrave as a textbook. I have also reviewed scholarly philosophical articles for publication in various venues.

I normally format to the Chicago Manual of Style, but the MLA and APA document styles are available upon request.

Feel free to contact us; we would be happy to discuss your particular project with you.
